After over a year hiatus, Heko Records will be releasing the follow up to its first release Experiential Learning with Giammarco Orsini’s Experiential Learning Part 2. It’s a much needed continuum of the first half, a record that struck a note in music enthusiasts and ravers alike.
The Italian label may be fresh on the release circuit, but it has garnered immense support for its debut record, titled Experiential Learning, that dropped last year in March. Orsini’s mark on Heko Records received great feedback all around, with Signal Flow having been rinsed out by DJs such as Julian Perez, Raresh, Enzo Siragusa, and Meoko.
Other than bringing to fruition the second release to Heko’s fiery music saga, Orsini has developed into a serious force from his residency at the infamous club Zu::Bar in Pescara, Italy to hitting clubs and festivals all around Europe. All of this work has definitely paid off, as he will be playing on the same bill as The Chemical Brothers at Piazzale Stadio Adriatico on August 12. He also released a thumpin’ track last Fall for a compilation EP on the Milano-based label Only 300 Family Records.
Experiential Learning Part 2 grooves along to a familiar feeling that was set in part one, but introduces three original cuts with space-age pads and electrifying rhythm. The A side features Solar System Is Vital To The Planet, a classic track with an infectious bassline, while the B side is made up of Life Goes On and Tree’s Dance. The former kicks up the energy with rolling kicks and interstellar pads, and the latter closes the record for a heady, breakbeat grind leaving you satisfied by its sub-bass goodness.
The much anticipated three-track EP is set to release on September 12, and you can preorder the 12″ on Juno here.
