Moving right along onto its thirty-third release, Clone‘s Royal Oak series has just previewed its upcoming record titled Side Street by Fell’s Point. The label previewed the release alongside KiNK’s Valentine’s Groove as part of the “New Clone Royal Oaks for the summer pt 2” playlist.
The series has gained a lot of momentum since its beginning in 2009. Having hosted material from artists like Gerd, Alex Agore, Reggie Dokes, Sabre, Takuya Matsumoto, Leon Vynehall, and Todd Terry, among many others, this series has pushed to present its music as a balance of nostalgic dedication and cutting-edge flavor. Side Street continues that very mission.
Fell’s Point is the new side project by Alden Tyrell, who has released material on Clone’s Jack For Daze and Basement series, Moustache Records, Disco Modernism, 4 Lux, X-Masters, Delft, Bear Funk, and Viewlexx.
The release features two tracks, Side Street and Jaywick. Both are pulsing house cuts with riveting influences from the sound of New York in the ’90s. The catchy piano riffs and pumpin’ basslines will surely take you back to the heyday of those wild NYC garage parties.
You can expect it to drop on 12″ through the Clone store here on June 13.
